Benton and I are like 80 year olds. Our idea of a good time is waking up at 6am on a weekend, driving to Fort Langley, grabbing a tea/coffee and sitting on our favourite bench.
Even as DINKS (double income no kids) we find that the day to day life can make the marriage predictable and boring. We often sit in front of the TV during dinner and feel like doing other things instead of connecting.
Fort Langley is a place that we both love for its quaint streets and it’s boutique shops. We get our (GF) pastries and tea/coffee from Blacksmith Bakery and take a walk down by the river.
We sit on our bench and talk about our future; where we will live, what we will do, where we will move, adventures we will go on. We talk about investments and about business. It gives us time to intentionally ask each other questions and spend some quality time together- which is my love language:)
